What Happens If TSA Finds Cannabis

Federal Law Still Applies Inside the Airport
Airports and the airspace above them are federal jurisdiction. Carry-On vs. Checked Bag

Do not do it. Bringing marijuana into another country, or back into the United States, is treated as drug smuggling. Customs and Border Protection can search bags and devices at the border, and some destination countries impose severe penalties.
