Og Kush Strain
Experience the classic vibe with our premium Og Kush strain.
Plan for roughly 1.2 to 1.6 ounces per square foot of canopy, which is about 350 to 500 grams per square meter. Per plant, that usually means 3 to 4 ounces from a 3 to 5 gallon pot with four to six weeks of veg. Growers running strong LEDs, a full SCROG and a longer veg cycle can reach 5 to 6 ounces per plant, but OG Kush is not a bulk strain. She is a quality strain. Anyone promising a pound per plant indoors from seed is selling something.
Yield scales with the light you deliver per square foot, not with the wattage printed on the box. A 4x4 tent under 480 to 600 watts of quality LED is the sweet spot for this cut. Stretch the same light over a 5x5 and the grams per square foot drop fast. OG Kush rewards even coverage because her lowers are notoriously larfy when light does not reach them.
This is where most of your extra weight comes from. A seed grown for three weeks and flipped will give you a single cola and maybe 1.5 ounces. The same plant topped once above the fifth node, trained flat under a net, and vegged for six weeks will fill a 2x2 footprint on its own and roughly double that. Expect about a 2x stretch during the first three weeks of flower, sometimes a little more on the stretchier phenos.
A 3 gallon pot is the practical floor for decent indoor numbers. Five gallons is better if you veg past five weeks. Roots that hit the wall early will stall the plant right as flowers start stacking.
OG Kush is a picky eater, not a heavy one. She wants steady calcium and magnesium and she burns easily when the EC climbs. Feed at moderate strength, watch the leaf tips, and back off the moment they start to claw. Overfeeding does not add yield. It adds crisp leaves and a stalled finish.
Flowering runs 8 to 10 weeks indoors depending on pheno, with most finishing around 9. Dense, rock hard buds are part of the appeal and part of the risk, because tight colas trap moisture.
OG Kush will not out-yield a modern commercial hybrid, and chasing grams with this strain usually costs you the gas, pine and lemon notes people actually want. Treat 3 to 4 ounces per plant as a good indoor run, 5 to 6 as an excellent one, and put the effort into canopy management instead of bottle additives. Check your local laws before you start, and buy genetics from a source that names the cut, since OG Kush has more knockoffs than almost any strain on the market.
