Step 1: Confirm the Battery Has Charge

1. Plug the battery into its charger and watch the indicator light.
2. Leave it plugged in for 30 to 60 minutes if the light stays dark or blinks in a slow pattern.

5. Screw the cart on until it stops, then back it off a quarter turn.

When to Stop and Replace the Battery

Stop using the battery if the shell is swollen, dented, or cracked, if you smell burning plastic, or if the body gets hot enough that you feel it through your hand. Damaged lithium-ion cells can vent or catch fire. Do not keep charging it, do not leave it plugged in without watching it, and do not throw it in household trash. Take it to a battery recycling drop-off instead.

A cart battery is a disposable part with a short service life. If you have cleaned the pins, charged the cell, cleared the clog, and swapped carts with no result, replacement is the fix.
