First pick: SensorPush HT1

Buy this one for a drying room. The maker lists humidity accuracy of ±1.5% RH and temperature accuracy of ±0.3°C. The app stores timestamped history and pushes alerts to a phone. Alerts outside Bluetooth range need the SensorPush WiFi gateway, sold apart. Price runs well above the budget units.

A dry can swing from slow to fast inside a few hours. A ±5% RH meter cannot show that swing. The HT1 can, which is the whole reason to pay more.

How to Raise Humidity During Drying

Options

Govee H5075: budget pick

Listed at ±3% RH and ±1°C. Bluetooth only. The Govee Home app draws a history chart and keeps the data on the phone. The screen reads well in low light. Good for a small tent or a closet. Two limits: no remote alert without extra hardware, and the spec is looser than the HT1.

Inkbird IBS-TH2

Maker listings quote humidity accuracy in the ±5% RH range. That number puts it below the Govee for this job. It has a display, a phone app and data export. Fine for a jar check or a rough room read. Weak for a dry where 3 points of RH change the schedule.

ThermoPro TP49: no-app option

Small, cheap, no phone app. Listings quote ±2 to ±3% RH. You read it in person. Use it as a second opinion in a jar or as a backup when the phone is elsewhere. No history, no alerts.

Caliber IV: jar duty

A small digital hygrometer sold for humidors, with a maker claim of ±1% RH at mid-range humidity. Good for jars and small containers after the dry. Not built for a tent with wet air and fan draft.

Calibrate before you trust the number

Salt test: half-fill a small cup with table salt, add distilled water until it turns to slush, seal the cup in a bag with the meter, and wait 8 to 12 hours at steady room temperature. Saturated salt holds about 75% RH. Compare the meter reading to 75% and record the offset. Boveda sells a 75% RH calibration kit that does the same job with less mess.

Repeat the test every few months. Cheap sensors drift with age and with exposure to high humidity.

Drying targets

Common range for cannabis drying: 60 to 70°F and 45 to 55% RH, with many growers running near 60/60. No single standard covers home drying, so treat these as practice, not law. Two meters beat one. Put one at canopy height and one near the exhaust.
